Direct Giving/ Donations - Fall and Spring Solicitation Letters

Three years ago when public education suffered severe cutbacks, a group of parents came forward to lead this direct solicitation fundraising effort with the idea that they would rather directly solicit donations from the community than sell wrapping paper or other products.

Every year a campaign is conducted to raise what amounts to two-thirds of the PTA budget through direct donations of money (about $60,000 annually). This effort is led by the Fundraising Team, whose members are Cragmont parents.

 The fundraising committee runs our direct donations campaign, upon which we depend to raise 60 to 70 % of our annual PTA budget. Your help is needed is draft our fundraising messages and letters, update our spreadsheets, send thank you letters, print and sign letters, make follow-up phone calls, and more. Involvement opportunities are flexible! Even if you only want to serve on our committee in an advisory capacity, we can use your help.
