Volunteer

Want to volunteer but can’t be at school? Here are some positions that are flexible and many can be done from home.

Open volunteer positions at Cragmont.

Volunteer Coordinator (1 person): maintain this list and update volunteer positions, organize sign ups and coordinate volunteers for events. Can do from home. Contact ptapresident@cragmont.org.

Auction Donation Manager(s) (1-2 people): The manager(s) maintains the database of requests and donations and oversees pickups/deliveries of donated items, coordinating efforts with the auction co-chairs. Timeline: the sooner the better, culminating in late winter.

Position Filled: Annual Fund Coordinator (1 person): Great job for someone who wants a discrete project with a mighty impact. The task: encourage families to make monetary donations to the school (send letter, track gifts/pledges, follow up as necessary with reminders/thank-yous). Our goal is to raise funds but a high level of participation is also very valuable. Last year we awarded pizza parties to classes with 100% participation (regardless of dollars raised). Timeline: flexible, but mid-fall is ideal.

Auction Donation Team (3-13 people): This is a many-hands-make-light-work job, with a point person or two to coordinate. The team solicits and secures donations for the annual auction (contact businesses, follow up as necessary, and coordinate pick-up of items). We already have a database of businesses who’ve given in the past, as well as those on our wish list, and we always put out a school-wide call for donations of goods and services from parents/guardians, their employers, and the businesses they patronize. Timeline: the sooner the better, culminating in late winter.

Cragmont Dine Out Coordinator (1 person): Another fun and autonomous project with a flexible timeline. Arrange monthly “dine out” nights at local restaurants and encourage families to attend: we supply the diners, the restaurants give us a portion of proceeds. Use our list of past participating restos and/or bring on some new ones. Great for community-building, as well as fund-raising. Timeline: flexible, targeting 7-10 dine-out nights throughout the school year.  Contact James Na at ptavicepresident@cragmont.org.

Grandparents and Special Friends Day Coordinator (1 person): This is a lovely event for the kids and families. Put out call for grandparents and special friends, and coordinate reception and welcome activities. Fundraising potential. Timeline: April 12, 2018, 1:30
