Dear Cragmont Families,

I am sure that everyone in your house is excited for the first day of school.  My household is!  We will begin our adventure into distance learning at 9:00am tomorrow.  By now, your teacher has sent you information about how to log on to the whole class meeting.

This coming week, all BUSD students will be participating in community building activities.  I am sure that your teacher has already sent you this link, but for your convenience, these activities can be found here.   We will be using different platforms during distance learning and those informational videos can be found at this link.

Please remember to sign up to meet with your child’s teacher.  Berkeley Public Health Department has mandated that schools cannot meet with families in person.  Your meet and greet with your child’s teacher will need to be done remotely.

Schedules for enrichment classes (PE, dance, music, art, science, garden) will begin soon and some schedules may need to be adjusted during these 2 weeks. Individual class schedules should be set by the end of these 2 weeks.

I am looking forward to the start of this school year which will prove to be a memorable one for us all.  Good luck this week and Go Dragons!

Sincerely,

Candy Cannon

Principal

From what I noticed Brighterly seems to focus on building actual skills through one on one sessions. Their tutors use adaptive learning paths aligned with school curriculums which is useful if you want consistency. You can check https://brighterly.com/online-math-tutor/ to see how their system works and if their approach fits your needs. The pricing starts at around 17.7 dollars per lesson depending on the plan you choose. It looks like a reasonable option if you want to address math anxiety or low grades without committing to overly expensive…
