News from your PTA

Updated: Sep 13, 2020

Dear Cragmont Families, We hope this finds you and yours well, as we all navigate this challenging and unprecedented school year. Cragmont has always had a strong community, and as such, we've always had a strong and active PTA. Now, it's especially important for us to come together and support our school and each other. Things are looking different on all fronts this year, including the role of the PTA and the makeup of the PTA. Many active members have had to step down because of relocation or dramatic shifts in their personal lives, and our usual community-building and fundraising activities are expected to take very different forms. As the school year gets underway, there are opportunities for new people to support the PTA, as well as new opportunities for the PTA to support all of us. CONNECT WITH US!

  • ZOOM COFFEE MEETUP: Thursday, September 17, join us at 9:15 a.m. for our first monthly Zoom Coffee Meetup. This is a casual gathering designed to help us make connections, share ideas, vent a little, and find mutual support. Get your kids on their meetings, grab your preferred beverage, and come hang out! Use this Zom link to access the meeting.

  • COMMUNITY TOWN HALL: In the next couple of weeks, we will also host our first Community Town Hall. This meeting will introduce our community to the PTA – its function, current needs, and ways to get involved. Stay tuned for date/time details.

  • FACEBOOK GROUP: Check out our private Facebook page, a hub for Cragmont staff and families to exchange info and ideas. (While you’re there, download 4th-grade teacher Ms. Killebrew’s poster to spread encouragement to kids during distance learning!)

  • PTA EMAILS: To ensure you don't miss any of our communications, please make sure you are registered with Membership Toolkit, the system we use to communicate with families. It takes less than 3 minutes and will ensure we’re all connected! (Returning families just need to update their child(ren)’s teacher.) The attached file also has step-by-step instructions.

If you're interested in joining the PTA, please send us your information via this form, and we'll get in touch. We look forward to working together and bringing our community closer despite the current physical distance.

See you soon over Zoom!  In community,  The Cragmont PTA
